Objectives a.         Evaluate the effectiveness of hypertension and diabetes screening, treatment and counseling to improve the blood pressure and glycemic control.
b.         Evaluate the effectiveness of cancer cervix and cancer breast screening to increase the early detection and cure rates.
Description Tamil Nadu Health Systems Project (TNHSP), an initiative of Government of Tamil Nadu funded by World Bank is implementing a program for screening and treatment of hypertension, diabetes, cancer cervix and cancer breast. We are conducting a concurrent evaluation of the program in all the primary and secondary care facilities of Govt. of Tamil Nadu.
Quarterly Reports (5-10 lines) Baseline survey was completed in Theni, Villupuram and Chennai in early 2012. Currently field visits are being done in all the facilities.
