Objectives Determine whether exposures to mosquito coil and biomass fuel smoke are related to Metabolic Syndrome (MetS) in Adults
Description A NCD CVD risk factors cohort study, which looks at the various risk factors associated to non- communicable disease, is currently being conducted by National Institute of Epidemiology in Thiruvallur District, Tamil Nadu. Adults (above 24 years) in this cohort will be our study population. We will utilize the data generated from this study to identify our study participants. We will use the existing disease data to identify individuals with metabolic syndrome. 
We will conduct analytical cross-sectional survey in the cohort. We currently have cohort of 5000 and all the individuals will be included in the study.
Quarterly Reports (5-10 lines) Data collection has been completed for 1900 subjects.
