A 3-month short course in Applied Epidemiology for district level public health professionals is being planned. Each year, 6 to 7 such courses will be conducted at various ICMR Institutes / Centres all over the country. The broad objective of this Course is to strengthen the capacity of district level medical officers in applied epidemiology. The course content includes principles of epidemiology, public health surveillance, epidemic investigation and response and allied disciplines.
